As an installing distributor, we set out to find the most reliable equipment available at a cost level that would make our dealers competitive. We have a staff of responsible installers, service technicians, and office personnel. For our dealers, it's as if they have added staff and equipment without spending a dime. After reviewing a project with the end user, the dealer simply contacts us with the job site particulars and we'll provide a quote with which to estimate the project. Once the project is awarded, we send out wiring and layout diagrams for use by the end user's electrician and the dealer's setting crew. When the project is ready, we install and test the equipment. Ongoing service and preventive maintenance complete the job.
When C-Gate was founded, we agreed with our dealers that it was in everyone's best interest if we approached the mini-storage industry on a direct basis. As time went on, we've been contacted by many owners of mini-storage facilities because of our intense knowledge of access systems integration and willingness to expand our service radius. Our fence dealers were interested in the perimeter fencing but were more than willing to turn the "gate system" over to us. As our reputation in the mini-storage field grows, we continue to service the mini-storage industry directly, unless brought into the project by one of our dealers. Our service range includes all of Ohio, the lower penninsula of Michigan, northern Indiana, and western Pennsylvania. We are able to ship gates, operators, and equipment packages anywhere in the country for installation by a local contractor or as a do-it-yourself project.
It was not the original intentent of C-Gate Entry Systems to sell direct to the end user. However, we have carefully considered the role of our dealers and ourselves with regard to end user sales. In many cases, the only work on a project is our work and, in the interest of taking care of the customer, the dealer will ask us to do the job direct. While we continue to support the many dealers in our network, we have realized that in order to best serve the public, we must open our doors to them.
